We Can Change the World

posted by Kristi Wachter on

I want to make the world a better place.

I've seen how we can do that, even with small actions.

I've seen how the people we vote for can make life better, from lowering the price of insulin to funding local day care.

I've seen how simple phone calls can change laws, and change policies, making life better for people.

It makes me happy to see things change for the better.

When I call the people who make the laws, or send them my thoughts, I feel good that I did something. It feels good to speak your mind.

I want you to know that feeling.

I want you to know how it feels to change the world, make it a better place.

If you haven't done this before, it can seem a little daunting.

Once you've tried it, you'll see that it can be easy.

I created this site to help you get started, and to share some of the things that help me and inspire me.

There are so many ways you can help steer our communities and our country toward making life better for everyone.

You can get started with Step 1: Download the spreadsheet to hold your notes and track your progress.

Take action:

Action is the antidote to fear and despair.

Take Action

You can make a difference.

It's okay to start small.

Action is the antidote to fear and despair.

Even doing small things - learning more about how we can strengthen our democracy, sharing what you know with others, making a phone call - can make a difference.

Right now is a great time to take action.
