Senator Adam Schiff on the Trump-Musk government shutdown

posted by Kristi Wachter on

Two days before the Senate passed the disastrous budget Continuing Resolution, Senator Adam Schiff  posted a short video explaining the Continuing Resolution and the stakes for the country:

So is the government shutting down? Well, that depends on Donald Trump and the Republicans. They control the White House. They control the House. They control the Senate. It's really up to them.

Do they want to shut down their government? They're acting like they do.

Like he says: the Trump administration is already carrying out a government shutdown:

just to recap, over the last two months, we've seen Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and their minions shutting down different parts of the government, laying people off, closing whole departments, losing litigation, but nevertheless, piece by piece by piece trying to dismember government services. and all to fund a tax cut for really rich people and corporations.

The wholesale illegal destruction of the United States government is already underway.

Defeating the terrible Continuing Resolution is essential to stopping the Trump-Musk government shutdown.

Follow-up: On March 14, 2025, the Senate passed the disastrous Continuing Resolution, and Senator Schiff posted A Dark Day for Our Country.
