Our Children's Trust represented young people in Held v. State of Montana, the lawsuit that found Montana's pro-fossil fuel policies contributed to climate change and violated the rights of young people in Montana.
They also represented the young plaintiffs of Navahine v. Hawai'i DOT, which will lead to Hawai'i's transportation system moving away from fossil fuels.
They also produce publications, such as curricula for high school teachers about their groundbreaking lawsuits and the Pathway to Climate Recovery comic.
Our Children's Trust has done an amazing job of winning court cases that seemed like longshots. Their wins in Montana and Hawai'i are groundbreaking, and have served as inspiration and models for similar court actions around the world.
I was so excited to see their new federal case, Lighthiser v. Trump, which brings together young people from five states who are suing to stop the administration's illegal Executive Orders and data removal.
